What Matters
when I'm walking
and noticing the small things
I often think of you
and how I know
if you were here with me
you'd see them too -
knowing all the while
they really weren't small at all.

Lovely words! And so true that the small things really do mean so much....a beautiful sunset or sunrise, a nice breeze blowing when it's humid, a kind word, a leaf falling in Autumn, or the first snowflake.

What a superb piece. Very touching, your memory of one beloved.

Very zen. The small things are the ones I remember most and want to share with those I love too.

Wonderful poem, June, and so true. It's a true gift to have the vision to see that the small things are really the big things.
