What Matters

when I'm walking
and noticing the small things
I often think of you
and how I know
if you were here with me
you'd see them too -
knowing all the while
they really weren't small at all.

Lovely words! And so true that the small things really do mean so much....a beautiful sunset or sunrise, a nice breeze blowing when it's humid, a kind word, a leaf falling in Autumn, or the first snowflake.

A small, simple gem! Even the size of the poem matches the thought!

sometimes sharing something can make all of the difference......

can't help but wonder what those things were...

You've said so much in so few words

What a superb piece. Very touching, your memory of one beloved.

Very zen. The small things are the ones I remember most and want to share with those I love too.

Thoughtful, gentle and large...

Wonderful poem, June, and so true. It's a true gift to have the vision to see that the small things are really the big things.
