Visual Art - Passion Flower
Every so often I get in the mood to go beyond the usual post processing of a photograph and apply artistic filters and effects to them. When I do I have a lot of fun with it...there are so many ways a photo can transform. Some may dismiss doing this, but I think of it as being just another form of expression. It's all art, no?

Spectacular!

Passionflowers are my all time favorite flowers - and they lend themselves to toy with them because of their already abstract appearance! Well done! Cheers, Klaus

I have many versions of passion flowers in my yard, the waxy this one and the wild deept reddish, magenta and blue. I'm told before hurricane Andrew in your general area there was a waxy pink and yellow that was irretreivably lost to the hurricane that destroyed the butterfly shelter. I still keep looking- exquisite

I tend to think of the difference being that of capturing and creating. But even the images I capture, I "help" them out a bit with the processing. I guess that's verging in creating, huh?
At any rate, this image is fun and you did a great job.

Yes, photography is art. Great job! Fun to create and see creations.
I'm sure you've heard the debate whether "photoshopping" or even digital means is photography or not. I say this; in the old days of film, we manipulated our photos with filters, flash, post darkroom dodging, feathering, and blending. It is the same, whether we done it with chemicals, or thru a computer program.

This is simply gorgeous! I didn't see the rest of your page, just the Florida Rains post. So glad you left me a comment and enticed me back. What a wonderful site! If you don't mind I would like to link your page. :D
