This coyote was wandering down the road at the Marin Headlands in Sauselito, California.  This shot was taken out the side window of the car...he was actually that close.

Flashback Friday - Cowboy June

When I came across this photo of myself (circa 1955) I couldn't help but notice the hat. It's not exactly a cowboy hat...more like the farmer's hat I showcased in a Photo Hunt post a couple of weeks ago.  I'm guessing it was all I had and some hat was better than none. 

Boots, six shooter, jeans and a t-shirt.  I was one happy girl!

The title of this post was purposely left as "cowboy" vs "cowgirl" since I never used the latter term. Back in 1955, cowgirls looked like Dale Evans...and that was definitely not somebody I related to!

President Obama is a southpaw.  It seems this is rather par for the course.  Did you know that every president since 1974 with the exception of Jimmy Carter and George W. Bush has been left-handed?

Facebook Newbie

For some reason...one I'm not at all sure of...I joined the ranks of people with Facebook pages.  As if blogging and photography isn't enough.  I had resisted when first invited to be someone's "friend" and then again and again...and I think even again.  Today I received another invitation.  It came at the right moment. I accepted.  I have no idea what I'll use it for or if I ever do, when I will!

This little critter was busy having a bite to eat. He was busy in the reeds when he spotted some tasty tidbit out on a limb.  Out he went to get it...

Then, on to another reed to get some more...

He was quite the acrobat!
